The product:

I created an app, Therapy SUBBIE to address the frustrations that Speech-Language Pathologists experience due to overloaded caseloads and unrealistic workload conditions.

The problem:

There has been an increase in Special Education referrals over the last 10 years. This has led to an increase in caseload numbers for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), with some carrying an unrealistic amount of students. This increase has caused an unmanageable workload that spans the spectrum from exhaustion to lowered morale to increased turnover amongst employees.

The goal:

This app would allow for therapy professionals to be on call for a range of time frames (one day to a few weeks to maternity leaves). The app would also allow substitute therapy professionals to be utilized so therapist can take sick/personal days without fear of getting behind in their work.
